Experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided on recruitment and throughout employment. We also offer NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care. Working with us

Standards

Our organisation aims to meet the Care Certificate standards in providing services for customers. You will be expected to work with us in meeting and maintaining these standards. In addition, we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Social Services and Primary Care Trust and are reviewed and inspected by them on a regular basis.

Duties

Duties usually combine elements of housekeeping, social assistance and personal care in varying degrees according to customer requirements.

Menu planning, shopping and meal preparation

Domestic duties (personal laundry / ironing)

Correspondence, arranging a social diary

Receiving visitors when appropriate

Driving or assisting customer with public transport

Attending social outings / visiting family and friends

Attending places of worship

Money management

Ongoing Training and Supervision

You will be supervised on a one-to-one basis every 12 weeks after the induction period. You will also be required to undertake ongoing training, whenever necessary. Supervision is carried out on a regular basis during the induction period. Supervision can be office based, observational or working along side you.

Payment Times and Method

Your pay will be paid 4 weekly by internet transfer to your bank account. Frequency of pay can be subject to change.

Tax and National Insurance

We will make all the necessary deductions for tax and national insurance from your pay.

Annual Leave 1st April- 31st March

28 days holiday pro rata. No annual leave to be taken between 24th December and 2nd January. Annual leave over public holidays is at your managers' discretion.
